Disheartening news for Sealdah Commuters! As per the latest announcement of the Sealdah division, several trains will be cancelled on Saturday and Sunday due to the demolition of a 1.86m wide foot-over bridge in Kalinarayanpur. According to sources, yard remodelling work is going on in this area. About 82 local trains will be cancelled over this weekend.
Sealdah Railway Division of Eastern Railway connects Sealdah and Krishnanagar through Kalinarayanpur Junction Railway Station. The demolition of the over bridge will create a traffic block on the Up Main Line at Kalinarayanpur station. There will be a 7-hour power block in the area from 11 pm Saturday to 6 am Sunday.
Due to this reason, several changes have been made to the train schedules on the transitory night between Saturday and Sunday. Here’s a list of trains cancelled during this phase.
