Kolkata: Eastern Railway passengers are facing significant disruptions as multiple trains from Howrah have been cancelled or rescheduled due to maintenance and operational issues. Several long-distance express trains have either been delayed or postponed, causing inconvenience to travellers.
Train Delays and Rescheduling
Among the affected services, the Howrah-Prayagraj Bibhuti Express departed at 1:15 AM yesterday instead of its scheduled time of 7:55 PM. Similarly, the Howrah-Kalka Netaji Express, which was originally set to leave at 9:55 AM yesterday, will now depart today at 3:30 PM. Meanwhile, the Howrah-Gandhinagar Garba Express will commence its journey today at 5 PM instead of its planned departure at 11 PM yesterday.

Adding to the travel woes, several important trains have been outright cancelled:
- Santragachi-MGR Chennai Express (Scheduled for 21st September) – Cancelled
- MGR Chennai Express-Santragachi Express (Scheduled for 23rd September) – Cancelled
- 22853 Shalimar-Visakhapatnam Express (Scheduled for 18th September) – Cancelled
- 22854 Visakhapatnam-Shalimar Express (Scheduled for 19th September) – Cancelled
- 18009 Santragachi-Ajmer Express (Scheduled for 21st September) – Cancelled
